THE WOMAN BEHIND NOBBON

Noor de Swart grew up in a creative, stimulating environment as both of her parents worked as goldsmiths.

She visited her parents’ atelier regularly and found all necessities to make jewellery were at her direct disposal. But she chose to use her talent differently: behind the drawing table and sewing machine. An education at AMFI Amsterdam made perfect sense, and her eye for design, styling and materials was shaped even further.

Noor prefers clothing and jewellery with a long lifespan. However, like many women around her, she found there is an overkill of mediocre quality jewellery. You buy a gold-plated piece of jewellery, couldn’t be happier with it, but after several months the gold coloured layer has disappeared. Such a waste!

That is how Noor decided to combine her background in fashion and knowledge in jewellery gained from her parents, to create a modern and high-quality line of jewellery, making a statement against our disposable culture.

Jewellery forged out of high-grade materials, which can be worn on any occasion and do not necessarily need to be taken off at night. Jewellery made without compromising on looks and most importantly: offered at affordable price. NOBBON was born!

HOW IT’S MADE

All NOBBON jewellery is handcrafted, making every item unique and stand-alone. NOBBON uses 14-carat gold for her jewellery and sterling silver 925. All silver jewellery is oxidized, giving it a black and rough edge.
